btw.. you know about what happened with the Uighurs?
same thing happened to Tibet..
PRC is falling apart from the ethnic tensions from the
institutionalised discrimination and surpression against the ethnic
minorities.. which the communist bastards call "separatist
elements" even when it's just them speaking in their own language
or worshipping their own gods without the thought of separating
from PRC...
after the surpression, PRC has sown its own seeds...
be careful whenever you are travelling to a place in PRC where
the Han Chinese went and insinuated themselves and pushed the local
ethnic groups out... because it's like a powder keg, primed to blow
up at any time..
erh.. not so bad lah..
when i was at the tibetian area in sichuan (the riot area of
chengdu and other ulu places)
... the PRC police treated us very well and make sure we are
alright at every place we go to (maybe tracking us too, we hold
huge cameras stuff), while the Tibetian-locals are really really
nice to us, hosting us at their place while we blend into their
culture, chatting and telling us about their lives and
history..
they understood that we are just tourists from singapore and
were there for photography. That's why they displayed their
warm hospitality to us :)
(we get invited into houses for tea, even we just pass by the
villages...)
...
but yeah... the only thing is that when there are clashes, just
dun walk into it..
when pple fight, they just see bodies and not your ID..
same anywhere... in china, in Bangkok (the recent riot),
anywhere...
